All of my drawings are done by me, from life. The more provocative figurative pieces are as such not because the models are nude, but because some are blindfolded and/or bound. I've been putting blindfolds on my subjects for a few years, now, and I'm not sure what that's about. One of my students says for her it's about trust. I think, for me, it's about being lied to, or hoodwinked, somehow. I'm not sure. Every viewer brings their own experiences and beliefs into the interpretation of all art, so even if I had a specific message I was trying to convey, I probably wouldn't articulate it so as to leave room for the viewer to draw his or her own conclusions. The figurative pieces are large, mostly 18" x 24" or larger, charcoal or sepia on newsprint or gray paper. These ship unframed in mailing tubes. Please inquire for exact sizes.
